John M. Izzo

Mr. Izzo is a partner and founding member of the law firm of Sraga Hauser, LLC. Mr. Izzo received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science summa cum laude from Bradley University and his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the University of Illinois. For two years following his graduation from law school, he served as law clerk to Illinois Appellate Court Justice George W. Lindberg.

Since 1984, his legal practice has focused in the areas of school law, park district law, real estate taxation and local government finance, appellate work, constitutional law, election law, and board procedures.

Mr. Izzo has co-authored the chapter on Church-State Issues and Civil Rights Litigation in the last several editions of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education's treatise on Illinois School Law. He has acted as counsel to numerous educational and municipal officers electoral boards.

Mr. Izzo is a frequent presenter to organizations such as the Illinois Association of School Business Officials, and the Illinois Local Government Finance Officials Association, and the League of Women Voters.
